We respect the rights of copyright holders and the people who appear in videos.

If you believe content on NaijaTape infringes your copyright, or that it shows you without your consent, contact us and we will review and remove it. We aim to act within two business days and usually much sooner.

What to include in a copyright notice

  • The exact page link(s) on our website where the material appears.
  • A description of the copyrighted work and proof that you own it or are authorised to act for the owner.
  • Your full name, company (if any), postal address, phone number and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Content that shows you

If a video shows you and you did not consent to it being published, email us with the page link. You do not need to prove copyright ownership for this kind of request, and we will treat it as a priority.

Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake, send us a counter-notice with the same contact details, the removed link, and a statement explaining why the material was removed by mistake.
